About our event

The Vineyard Region is headed to Europe!  We are putting together a fun filled package with options that will take you to some fantastic stops in Europe via a Viking River Cruise (8 days, 7 nights) and then an optional (non-PCA) driving tour starting off at Stuttgart, Germany to visit the Porsche Museum, Porsche Factory, Mercedes Factory then off to the Alps! (12 days, 11 nights)  You can choose one, the other, or both options. (AIrfare not included.)

For the cruise, we will board Viking River Cruises from Budapest on May 31st and travel to Regensburg on this 7 day journey. On this river cruise you will sail through charming Cities and VIllages on the Romantic Danube River. Visit Budapest’s Castle District and cross the famous Chain Bridge. Explore Göttweig Abbey, one of Austria’s most revered monastic centers, and make dumplings with Wachau Valley apricots. Celebrate Vienna’s musical heritage at a concert featuring works by Mozart and Strauss. With medieval towns, grand cities and stunning scenery, this 8-day journey on the “Blue Danube” is one you are sure to love. In addition to seeing these beautiful sights, we will plan a few fun "Porsche Only" events to meet up with your fellow Porsche Passengers on the boat.  What a great way to connect and share expereinces with new or established friends.

Cost for the CRUISE ONLY portion of the tour Starts at $2874 pp for the F category window. EACH CATEGORY INCLUDES AN ADDITIONAL $150 PER CABIN SHIPBOARD CREDIT that can be used for tours during the cruise or other activities.

We recommend upgrading to balcony cabins and here the prices for all available categories:

OPTION 2 DAY PRE-CRUISE HOTEL IN BUDAPEST $450 per person
Transfers to Stuttgart after the cruise will depend on number of participants and will be priced out after total bookings are determined. Options will include train, bus, private transportation, or car rental. (2.5 hours by car)

 PORSCHE EVENT OPTION FOLLOWING THE CRUISE

After a beautiful cruise with your fellow Porsche Enthusiasts, depending on the number in the group,  cruisers will have an variety of options to travel from  Regensberg to Stuttgart Germany, where you can begin the second leg of your European Dream Vacation for the Italian/Austrian Alps portion of the tour (June 7 - 18, 2024) This section of the tour is limited to a small group.  We will allow for 8 rooms including our tour guide, Richard, Vineard Region Board of Director and Tours Chair extraordinaire who has been planning quite the trip for everyone who can attend.  This will limit our attendance to this option to approximately 14-15 people total.  If you are not arriving from the Viking Cruise, and choose to ONLY attend this portion of the trip, you will be responsible for your own transportation to Stuttgart and all participants will be responsible to pay for their own rental car, be it a Porsche or any other model of your choosing. Included in this leg of the tour are carefully planned drives, hotel accomodations, admissions to Porsche Museum and Mercedes Museum and some group dinners/lunches/wine tasting.

Here's the Itinerary for the second leg of the Journey:
Fri (6/7) arrival in Stuttgart
2 nights at hotel near to Porsche Museum; Friday welcome dinner with the group, included.
Rental car options (book on your own);
- car rental at Stuttgart airport. Rates vary (typically $50-$100 per day)
- Porsche Drive by Porsche museum. Rates vary $250-$400/day for 9-10 days 6/9 to 6/17 or 6/18

Sat (6/8) afternoon take metro or drive a few miles to Mercedes museum 
Sun (6/9) Stuttgart to Merano, Italy (approx. 280 mi)
Leave Stuttgart heading south, through Switzerland to central alps, arriving in Merano, south Tyrol Italy
6 nights (6/9-6/15) at alpine resort villa, includes 3 dinners (6/9, 6/11 and 6/13), 
Mon (6/10) through Fri (6/14) – driving in the alps
4-5 days of various drives of historic mountain passes along Italy & Austria alps (approx. 100-200 mi ea)
- one day to include a visit at Mezzacorona winery
- one day to include visit to Misurina for an alpine hike to 3 Cime and refugio lunch 
Sat (6/15) Merano to Salzburg, Austria (approx. 220 mi)
2 nights at nice modern hotel just outside of Salzburg. Local dinner included.
Sun (6/16) Leisure day around Salzburg area
Mon (6/17) Salzburg to Stuttgart (approx. 260 mi)
Arrive at simple hotel next to Stuttgart airport. Farewell dinner nearby included.
Tues (6/18) Stuttgart airport for return flight to US

Tour package includes;
