VERY IMPORTANT: River Cruise ships and low Europe rivers problem

River cruise ships are having difficulty navigating extremel;y low Danube, Rhine and other rivers. If you are planning to purchase a cruise that departs between now and SSeptember WAIT and check with your travel advisor or the cruise line as to its ability to float down the river. There is nothing worse than you having to take a bus. If you are booked for August or September call your advisor or cruise line immediately and tell them to tell you THE TRUTH not some PR BS.

This is a very serious low water issue due to heat and low snow melt. Hopefully it will rain in October and fill the rivers. Some river cruise lines have ships with lower draft so they can navigate a bit more of the river. However, this is one of the worsr dry spell and I hate to have you book a river cruise that turns out to be a bus cruise.
